About Moroccan.biz
What this site is
Moroccan.biz is an independent, English-language editorial portal focused on the business, investment and industrial landscape of the Kingdom of Morocco. It exists because reliable, joined-up information about Morocco's economy is still scattered across government portals, development-bank reports, sector-specific trade journals and press articles — much of it only in French or Arabic. This site pulls that information together into a single, readable reference for international readers who need to understand how Morocco works as a place to do business.
Who it is for
The site is written for four broad audiences: foreign investors and corporates considering Morocco as a market or production base; entrepreneurs and SMEs evaluating trade, sourcing or partnership opportunities; students, analysts and researchers studying Morocco or North Africa; and expatriate professionals preparing to relocate. Readers are assumed to be informed generalists — not specialists in any single Moroccan sector — so the writing leans towards context and explanation rather than jargon.
What it covers
Moroccan.biz covers Morocco's macroeconomy (GDP, trade, FDI, monetary policy); the country's fourteen main commercial sectors (from automotive and aerospace to agriculture, tourism, renewable energy, financial services, healthcare and infrastructure); the investment framework (regional investment centres, free zones, incentives, expatriate residency); the regulatory environment (company formation, taxation, labour, intellectual property); public policy (industrial acceleration, Vision 2030, Green Morocco, Digital Morocco); and practical context on Moroccan business culture. Each topic is given a dedicated long-form page that is updated as new official data or material reforms are published.
Editorial approach
Content on Moroccan.biz is produced in-house against a small set of editorial principles:
- Grounded in public sources. Statistics are drawn from institutions such as the High Commission for Planning (HCP), Bank Al-Maghrib, the Office des Changes, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, AMDIE, OMPIC and recognised international organisations (World Bank, IMF, UNCTAD, OECD, WTO, World Tourism Organization). Where figures differ between sources, we use the most recently published official figure and note the year.
- Neutral framing. Morocco's business environment has strengths and constraints, and both are discussed. We do not publish promotional copy, sponsored features or paid placements on this site.
- No personalised advice. Nothing on the site is legal, tax, medical, investment or immigration advice for any individual situation. Readers acting on the information are expected to consult qualified professionals in their jurisdiction.
- Corrections-first. If a reader points out an error and supports it with a credible public source, the page is updated as soon as practicable and the editorial log internally records what changed.
- No fabricated attribution. Quotes, testimonials and case studies are never invented. Where general practice or industry opinion is described, it is phrased in general terms ("many operators report", "industry practice is…") rather than placed in the mouths of named individuals.
How pages are produced
Each sector and topic page begins with a structured outline of the sub-topics readers ask about most: scale of the sector, headline indicators, main participants and investors, regulatory regime, incentives, recent developments and outlook. Draft copy is assembled from official reports, development-bank analysis and credible trade press, then cross-checked across at least two independent sources before publication. Pages are reviewed periodically against the latest HCP, Bank Al-Maghrib and ministry releases and revised when headline figures move materially.
Independence and funding
Moroccan.biz is editorially independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or funded by the Government of Morocco, any Moroccan public agency, any political party, or any specific private company named on the site. Operating costs are supported by display advertising served through standard third-party ad networks, which is disclosed in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Advertising relationships have no influence on editorial content: advertisers do not see articles before publication and no page is produced or amended in exchange for advertising spend.
What this site is not
Moroccan.biz is not a news service with daily breaking coverage, not a transactional platform, not a directory of paid business listings, and not a professional services firm. Readers who need live market data, transactional services, or tailored legal, tax or investment advice should consult the specialist providers referenced throughout the site.
